Started in 1995, the Capital One Credit Card company went from a local card issuer to one of the biggest in the credit card industry. If the card is lost or stolen, the customer should call the Capital One Credit Card company with the card number, the situation description, the most recent authorized charges, and any other relevant information. Customers can call to ask for a balance transfer. to make payments, and to report credit report mistakes and unauthorized charges.

Cardholders can have temporary credit limits which they can use to buy over the Internet, phone, or mail. Credit limits should be no more than twenty percent of a customer's gross household income. There's also the cash advance fee which is a charge for using a Capital One Credit Card to get cash normally at an ATM or a bank.

Customers can register online for CyberizeSM, a program with fraud protection, store discounts, and online account management. Cardholders can employ the Fair Credit Billing Act to resolve billing disputes with the card issuer. Capital One offers gold and platinum cards which may have a bigger credit line. Many credit cards have revolving lines of credit which is an agreement to lend a certain amount to a borrower and to let that amount to be borrowed again once it has been repaid. Capital One also has financial offerings besides credit cards.
